You could pass parameters from your website (eg. customer name, of page URL) and use those as context in the chatbot.

Absolutely support this. It is a feature also available in services like LiveChat and the feature could be combined with the feature requested I posted on "Starter Messages" depending on URL query.
However, just as a note, this would of course mean setting a user cookie, which come with some additional challenges regarding GDPR but should be possible.
